Transforming Lives: Hear from Our Families

Meet the families and individuals whose lives have been transformed through our programs.

I was six months pregnant when I left my home. I wanted a better life for myself and my baby. My friend told me about Guadalupe School which has brought me an excellent education and opportunities. Now, I can’t even imagine my family without Guadalupe School. Thank you so much for supporting Guadalupe, its students, and families.

Dios bendiga—God bless you.

Moving from Argentina to the U.S. was a big step for me, but thankfully, the adult education program has been a huge support. The patience of the instructors and the quality of the classes have made me feel more at home. Also, thanks to the program, I was able to advance from being a busser to a server at my cafe that I work at because I can communicate with my coworkers better and am better at using the technology. This program isn’t just about learning English; it’s about adjusting to a new life and building community, which is very meaningful when you’re far from family.

Celina, Adult Ed Student

I really love how Guadalupe has bilingual teachers because they help kids who just moved from other countries settle in and feel at home. When I moved here in kindergarten, the support I received from everyone, especially the teachers, meant a lot to me as I adjusted to a new language and culture. They helped me a lot with my English skills. When I grow up, I want to become a teacher to help other kids like teachers have helped me.

Rosy, Elementary School Student

“Guadalupe School has profoundly shaped my life and my family’s journey. I built a strong educational foundation and lasting friendships here. Today, my mom attends English classes, and I work at the reception desk while pursuing a degree. The dedicated staff has fueled our growth and confidence, and the experiences at Guadalupe continue to guide me. I will always cherish this supportive community.
