Coat & Shoe Drive (September-October)
Organize a winter coat and shoe drive for all
students, collect and drop off donated
items.
Guadalupe’s Trunk or Treat (October 23)
Collect and donate candy, toys, and costumes,
and/or assist in decorating and staffing the event.
Fall Clean-up (November)
Leaf removal, litter & garbage clean-up, outdoor
classroom reset, grounds maintenance, etc.
Thanksgiving Meal Kits (November)
Organize a food drive and supply Thanksgiving
Meal Kits to families in need.
Winter Events
Gifts for Guadalupe (November & December)
Collect toys and books to provide holiday gifts to Guadalupe students. Help with collection, organization, and wrapping.
Spring Events
Spring Egg Hunt (April)
Plan a spring egg hunt for our Early Learning students.
Spring Cleaning (April)
During our Spring Recess, help deep clean and reset the school, our grounds, and the buses.
Guadalupe’s Annual Gala (May)
Donate or source needed items for the silent auction.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week (May 3-7)
Help recognize our wonderful teachers and staff with handwritten notes and gift bags full of snacks and goodies.
Field Day (May 26)
Staff each field day activity and cheer on our students.
6th Grade Graduation (May 27)
Help set up and decorate for graduation, compile swag bags or graduation gifts.
Last Day of School (May 28)
Create “Continued Learning” kits for students to take home over the summer.
Summer Events
End of School Clean & Reset (June)
Help clean and reset the school, cafeteria, buses, and grounds.
Summer School Tie-Dye (July)
Help our students make tie-dye shirts by collecting materials and staffing stations.
Back-to-School-Drive (July/August)
Collect backpacks and back-to-school supplies for incoming Prek-6th grade students. Help assemble kits for classes.
Summer Clean & Reset (August)
Help clean and reset the school, cafeteria, buses, and grounds.
Other
Adult Education
Teach English to adult immigrants one evening a week (2.5 hours). A 3-month commitment is required; no experience needed.
Collection Drives
Collect uniforms, supplies, snack items, or books (please confirm needs first).
** Ideal volunteer group size: 5-10 people. Volunteer Groups are limited to 15 individuals.
Volunteer groups are responsible for providing materials and supplies for chosen activities.
Other opportunities will be taken under consideration to ensure benefit to both the Guadalupe Center community and volunteering individuals or organizations.
