Guadalupe School’s flagship program, Adult Education, began in 1966 to teach the English language to adult immigrants in Salt Lake City. Now, it has grown to a year-round program that offers comprehensive instruction to assist low-income adult immigrants and refugees in achieving literacy and acquiring the essential skills for employment and housing stability. Our program is dedicated to supporting lifelong teaching and learning, particularly for individuals facing significant barriers to job and economic security. We provide in-person classes across all levels of English proficiency, career and technology skills, and citizenship preparation.
Additionally, adult learners enrolled in our program can utilize our early care and learning services for their children. Our highly qualified providers ensure a safe, nurturing, and language-rich environment where children can thrive while their parents pursue their education.
