Ms. Christensen is the new Director of Adult Education, overseeing English as a Second Language, US Citizenship, and Family Literacy services for immigrants and refugees. Prior to arriving at Guadalupe Centers, she was an instructor at the University of Utah in the department of Linguistics for more than ten years, where she taught ESL, Multilingual Writing, and Cross-Cultural Communications.
Ms. Christensen holds a Master of Arts degree in Language Pedagogy and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Utah; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a minor in Anthropology also from the University of Utah. Besides her passion for education, she also loves traveling, rock climbing, writing, and spending time with her dog, Roja, in the mountains.
