Irena has worked as an ESL teacher for over six years. She grew up in Eastern Europe and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English Language and Literature from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University. She began her teaching career in Europe before moving to the United States, where she continued to teach. Additionally, she spent a year working in special education. Irena later earned a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Utah and has published two research papers on second language acquisition. In her free time, Irena enjoys hiking, painting, and playing with her four guinea pigs. She also loves cooking, reading, and gardening. Fun fact: she was a national sailing champion in her home country for two years.
